Boots to Business Reboot
November 7, 2015 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Gulf Coast State College’s Veterans Business Outreach Center presents “Boots to Business Reboot,” a two-day entrepreneurial training program for veterans and military spouses. It is a two-step entrepreneurship training program offered by the US Small Business Administration through a partnership with the Institute of Veterans and Military Families, the Marcus Foundation and First Data Corporation. Boots to Business Reboot is scheduled to highlight the second annual National Veterans Small Business Week the first week in November.
The curriculum provides assistance to those interested in exploring business ownership or other self-employment opportunities by leading them through the key steps for evaluating business concepts and providing foundational knowledge required to develop a business plan. In addition, participants are introduced to SBA resources available to access start-up capital, technical assistance and contracting opportunities. The course is open to veterans of all eras including service members, members of the National Guard and Reserves and their spouses.
Boots to Business Reboot will be held Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the Advanced Technology Center. The event is free but pre-registration is required for all participants, as lunch will be provided on Friday. For more information and to complete the registration, please visit http://www.vboc.org.
